Hey You...have you become Comfortably Numb over Time with your guitar strumming? There's no need to tread on Thin Ice or suffer from Brain Damage anymore!

With Our New E-Z Strummer: Pink Floyd DVD, we'll show you how to strum and sing along
to 10 of the most popular Floyd songs ever!

After our highly-acclaimed E-Z Strummer DVD Series: Volume 1 (2 DVD's + 8 CD's) launch a few months ago, we received quite a few 'thank you' emails from you, our valued supporters, on creating another E-Z Strummer series "ASAP" so that you can add even more songs to your strumming arsenal! However, instead of lumping a bunch of top 40 songs in THIS series, we decided to offer 'band-exclusive' strumming songs.

Our NEW E-Z Strummer DVD Series is ALL about Pink Floyd, as they were the MOST requested band in which you wanted to learn how to play their songs. In response, we've compiled a list of 10 songs that will be featured on this new DVD.

Here are the songs that you'll learn in this new series:

  1. Brain Damage
  2. Breathe
  3. Comfortably Numb
  4. Eclipse
  5. Have A Cigar
  6. Hey You
  7. Mother
  8. The Thin Ice
  9. Time
  10. Us and Them

Here's a sample of one of the songs featured on this NEW DVD:

"Breathe" Full Performance 1 (explanation)

I have seperated all the necessary parts (Verse, Chorus, Interlude) for each section. Since not all of the songs featured on this DVD will follow the same pattern for each section, seperating the sections like this will help tremendously when you need to switch up a strumming pattern for the song such as a change in the Bridge or Interlude.

In the case of "Breathe" you will be following the same overall pattern, but I wanted you to see how detailed we're going to be getting with this DVD.

Important Note: I've included 'pick-up' lines in this video. It appears when we start the full version of the song on the fretting hand version. The pick-up lines that appear tell you which words coincide with the chord change in the song.

For example:

When 'breathe' appears in the first line of the song, it coincides with the Em chord that is being played. The same applies throughout the song. Pick-up lines are great to use if you lose your sense of timing with the song. All you have to do is drop out for a second until the cue of the next line appears. After viewing and playing with the video, you should see what I mean.

"Breathe" Full Performance 2 (just chords)

This version is for you guys that already know what the chords look like and can find the strumming pattern easily. This version also shows both fretting and strumming hand without the seperation and explanation between each section. This will ALSO be included on the DVD.

Fig. 1 Strumming Pattern

Note: If you want to use this strumming pattern by all means do so. This is an accurate description on how to strum the chords applied. The 'arches' that you see aren't really tied notes, but moreso 'quick changes'. When I refer to 'quick change' this could mean two things (or both)

1. The quick change could refer to an actual chord change (Asus4 to A) which fits the overall concept of this song. In this case, we have the Asus4 played directly after the A chord, and then back to the A chord. This quick change should be strummed with a lesser value than the other chords played.
2. The quick change could also refer to a brisk down-and-up (in the case here) or vice versa strumming pattern. In this song, we start with two downstrokes, then a quick strum (and chord) change from down to up and down to up again. We then have another simple down and up pattern, followed by another quick change for down and up as noted in the diagram below.

You'll learn not only the song above, but nine other timeless classics from Pink Floyd, all with:

  • Easy-To-Understand Strumming Patterns
  • Performance Notes on Each Section
  • Commentary on Performance Techniques
  • On-Screen Chord Listing
  • 'Pick-Up' Lyrics On The Screen
  • and much more!

Song-by-Song Explanation

Every song on this DVD will be about 10 minutes in length. In each song I'll help you with (1) chord changes (2) vocal melody (3) the strumming patterns and even (4) section-by-section recaps! That's right. On the first run, I'll stop at each and every section before proceeding to guarantee you're not getting behind. After we've completed each part of the song, I'll go back and actually play the song from the beginning to the end!

With this 90-minute DVD, we've pulled out all the stops!

If you order today, this E-Z Strummer: Pink Floyd DVD series will only cost you
$19.95 (plus $3.00 s/h charges) for a total of $22.95!

Final Notes

Just to clear everything up and tell you exactly what you get by pre-ordering this E-Z Strummer: Pink Floyd DVD series today, you'll receive the following:

  1. 10 Easy-To-Strum Pink Floyd songs using high-quality, AVI video rendering, including: Brain Damage, Breathe, Comfortably Numb, Eclipse, Have A Cigar, Hey You, Mother, The Thin Ice, Time, and Us and Them)
  2. Easy-To-Understand Strumming Patterns - We provide you with an exclusive link on the DVD that will reference all the strumming patterns used within each song. Since there may be more than one pattern for a given song, we provide you with a detailed legend that allows you to quickly find the strumming pattern without having to search for it!
  3. Performance Notes on Each Section - Instead of just playing right through the song, we break each section down first before moving to the next one to guarantee you're playing it correctly! We then provide the entire song after you've viewed the fretting hand and strumming hand so that you can play right along with us!
  4. Commentary on Performance Techniques -There are times that just a strumming pattern and a chord change won't cut it. So, I'll be getting into detail about each and every chord change that might trip you up so that we can eliminate any frustration that you may feel while trying to change chords or figure out the pattern change.
  5. On-Screen Chord Listing -In addition to the actual chord diagrams being shown on the screen, I also include the chord name for those of you that recognize chords and would like a full screen version that shows both hands at once!
  6. 'Pick-Up' Lyrics On The Screen - Pick-up lyrics are much more efficient than providing entire lyrics on the screen (the reference files DO include full lyrics), because it teaches you to see what is coming next in a passage. As you can see from the detailed video above (Performance 1), you'll be able to fully understand when a chord change takes place based on the lyrics provided on your reference print-out.

Here's The Deal

Whenever we run a new product, we always appreciate your feedback. We listen and we implement. In this series, you'll have 100% accurate strumming patterns to work with. This was one aspect that many of you asked for on any additional volumes that we release. In our Volume 1 series, we offered basic strumming patterns that you can use via our online reference area. This time, the patterns are provided in our reference area and are unique to each and every song featured. In other words, we don't just give you a template to follow.

We give you the actual strumming pattern for each section of each song. If there are three different strumming patterns for a given song, you'll easily be able to reference each pattern because we reference them based on "Fig.1" and "Fig.2" and so on!
