Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the answers to the common questions that you may have about the site or about how to use the site.

I am unable to see the video because :

1. The screen is black and I can't see the musician.

You may need to install the latest plugin. If this is not the case, then go to TOOLS in your browser, then to INTERNET OPTIONS, then to the ADVANCED tab, and then scroll down to MULTIMEDIA. Make sure that "play video in web pages" is clicked. If it isn't, that is at least part of the problem.

2. I can hear the sound, but I can't see the video.

This usually means that your computer is still trying to buffer. Let it run through once and then see if it happens again when you click the video again.

3. I can see the video, but I cannot hear sound.

Go to TOOLS in your browser, then to INTERNET OPTIONS, then to the ADVANCED tab, and then scroll down to MULTIMEDIA. Make sure that "play audio in web pages" is clicked. If it isn't, that is at least part of the problem. Also, check your speakers to make sure that they are plugged in. If they are, you can also try restarting your computer, as some of you may have some recording software on your computer that stalls out the sound from the PC.

4. The video stutters the first time through.

This means that your computer connection is still buffering and trying to connect to the site. Dial-up is quite bad about this. Let it run through once, and then try it again. You should have no problem then.

5. There is what looks like a puzzle piece where the video should be telling me to install a plugin.

There are a few options here:

a. If you are using Windows Media Player to view the video, you can go to:

http://www.windowsmediaplayer.com to download the newest plugin.

b. If you are using Quicktime to view the video, you can go to :

http://www.macromedia.com to download the newest plugin.

6. How do I make the video bigger?

If you are using Internet Explorer, just double-click on the picture.

UPDATE : VIDEO LESSONS

For the video, a fellow musician and customer has informed me that one way to make the videos play if you are having trouble is by double-clicking on the screen, allowing the buffer to begin a second or two, and then moving your middle mouse wheel up and down a little and the video should appear. This was after all the plugins and updates had been performed on the media player.
