"Hard Luck Woman Unplugged" by KISS

Difficulty: Easy

You will need to tune as followed :

D, G, C, F, A, D

Notice a pattern here ? We have been working with this tuning for a few songs, and most of them seem to be the unplugged versions as well. Hmm...makes you think....

Intro

There are three guitar parts here. Guitar 1 plays the chords in the background. For the Dm, I played a standard Dm, because I thought it sounded better in the intro. The rest of the Dm's will be played using barre chords.

The progression for the strumming guitar is this :

Dm, C, Dm, Em, F, G, and C. You will notice how they come together if you look at the very top of the tablature above the tabbed out notes. The biggest thing to watch for here is the rests, which will be noted like this :

The second guitar part is playing the tabbed out part on top of the measures, beginning with the slide.

The third guitar part is the part being picked out.

Verse

There are also three guitar parts here. Now you will definitely need to play the barred Dm chord, which is tabbed out below. The first guitar part just strums the chords on through, while the second guitar part breaks down and picks out the rest of the progression, starting with the Dm after the C chord. The third guitar part is playing the picked out measures at the bottom of each bar.

For example :

Here is the progression for the strumming part :

Dm, C, Dm, E, F, G, and C

The progression for the second guitar is :

Dm, C, picked out Dm, E, F, G, and then fill the riff with the pull-off.

The progression for the third guitar is picked out entirely until the last measure, which ends on a strummed C chord.

Chorus

Here you will also see three guitars. Two guitars will play the chords as shown, and the last guitar picks out the notes on the measure below the other two guitars.

Outro

This is mostly a recurring theme, but there are a few changes.

Guitar 1 plays the chords as usual, while guitar 2 plays the slide you see starting in the first measure. Guitar 3 plays the picked out part.
