"Born To Run UNPLUGGED" by Bruce Springsteen

Riff Rundown

Difficulty: Easy - Intermediate

Capo 2

Ok, here's the deal with this song. It's confusing. I love this song, but playing it unplugged is rather tricky. The biggest thing to notice is that you will REALLY have to count out the palm mutes (pm) to get the timing down. It took me a little while to figure it out myself. The accents are also tricky. Keep in mind that there is other stuff playing that emphasizes the accents other than the guitar. I have a feeling that is where the real accents come in the most and are heard the best.

The good news is that the fingerings aren't very hard at all in this song. That will allow you to work with the timing a little easier.

Interlude

It starts getting real tricky right here. Notice that the first bar is to be played three times, as noted at the end of the bar in the top right. It IS played that way on the audio recording. Now, the SECOND bar will have two measures that repeat each time. In other words, you will play the Bbsus4 twice, and the Ebsus4 twice. Then you will transition to the climax of the interlude.

The part above is really tricky. Try the best you can to keep up!

Once you figure the part above out, move on to the strumming. These are played seperately.
